Dewar’s was founded in 1846 in Scotland by John Dewar. His son Tommy Dewar later propelled the brand worldwide with bold promotions, including the world’s first beverage film advertisement, making Dewar’s a household name.
Today, Dewar’s is run by John Dewar & Sons and is known for its double aging process — after blending, the whisky is returned to oak casks for further maturation, giving a honeyed smoothness and layered depth. With over 1,500 international awards, Dewar’s is recognized as the world’s most awarded blended Scotch whisky.
Dewar’s 18 Year Old combines up to 30 single malts and grain whiskies from five core distilleries: Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Craigellachie, Royal Brackla, and Macduff. Each whisky is matured for at least 18 years before being expertly blended by Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, creating a rich and refined expression.
