與布根地大部分酒莊一樣,Domaine Michel Noellat由家族擁有。自19世紀由Félix Noëllat創立酒莊以來,已有五代人相繼掌管這片佔地20公頃的葡萄園。
在1980年,Michel Noëllat在酒莊底下建了一個石製拱形酒窖。而在2007 年,酒莊收購了一間極為現代化的酒窖,配有40個恆溫不銹鋼桶和一個專門用於品酒的酒窖。自2012年開始,第六代的Sébastien Noëllat 負責葡萄的栽培和釀酒,而他的表妹Sophie則負責商業管理。

Like the majority of wine properties in Burgundy, Domaine Noëllat is specifically family-owned. After Félix Noëllat, its creator in the 19th century, five generations have succeeded one another at the head of the twenty-hectare farm.
In 1980, Michel Noëllat had an authentic stone vaulted cellar dug under the property and in 2007, the estate acquired an ultra-modern vat room equipped with forty thermo-regulated stainless steel vats and a cellar dedicated to tasting.
Since 2012, the 6th generation, Sébastien Noëllat has been in charge of viticulture and winemaking while his cousin Sophie manages the commercial side.
The average age of the vines is between 60 and 70 years old. They do not wish to leave strong imprint of the oak on their wines, the reds are aged in French oak barrels with 30 to 50% new barrels. Bottling takes place after 15 to 18 months of aging. For the whites, the juice completes its fermentation in stainless steel vats or in oak barrels for the greatest appellations.

Vinification:
Manual harvest, 100% destemming. Cold pre-fermentation for 3 to 5 days. Then fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats for 18 to 20 days. Aging for 12 months in 30% new barrels.
Tasting Notes:

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has a lively bouquet with dark cherry fruit, hints of fig and damson, though I would never describe it as over-ripe. There might be just touch of brettanomyces here. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins, quite rounded and voluminous in the mouth with a soft landing on the finish. Packed full of flavour, this will be easy to drink in its youth. -- Neal Martin
