Mestre家族可說是教皇新堡最古老的家族之一。家族成員一代接一代地在當地種植葡萄。在上世紀60年代，Monnique及Jean Claude Mestre用來自 Côteau de l'Ange的部分葡萄藤創立了自己的葡萄園，並接管了家族品牌。他們尊重傳統的釀酒技術，實行修整、疏果及避免使用殺蟲劑等。葡萄採收與分類由人手負責，目的是生產出最健康的葡萄，同時對環境表現出最大的尊重。

The MESTRE Family is among the oldest in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Its members have been cultivating the vines there from generation to generation. Monique and Jean Claude MESTRE created their own vineyard with part of the vines from the Côteau de l'Ange in the sixties and took over the family brand. They respect the age-old winemaking tradition,
practise bud pruning and green harvesting and avoid the use of insecticides. Grape gathering and sorting are done by hand, aim to produce the healthiest possible grape while at the same time showing scrupulous respect for the environment.

Dense purple, with a Dense purple, with a stunning nose of raw beef, blueberry liqueur and spring flowers, the wine is ripe, intense, full bodied and extremely backward and infantile in its evolution. This is serious wine for conservative and patient wine geeks to forget for at least another 5-6 years. It should last for 25-30. (Issued in 2012)
