Domaine Denis Mortet is a producer from the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits of northern Burgundy. It is known for its high-quality wines made from Pinot Noir.
The wine portfolio of Pinot Noir is produced in modern style with finesse and delicacy, a side step away from traditional Burgundian Pinot Noir. The cuvée collection includes multiple grand crus from Bonne-Mares, Mazis-Chambertin, Échézeaux and Clo-de-Voudeot.
The domaine began in 1956 when Charles Mortet bought a single hectare of vines and began selling fruit to merchant houses. Mortet's son Denis, and his wife Laurence, began working on the estate in 1978 and in the early 1990s, took over and established Domaine Denis Mortet.
