Domaine du Clos Frantin is owned by the famed Bichot family. Clive Coates MW described their wines as "the jewels of the Cote de Nuits".
The vineyards cover 13.2 hectares of which 3.9 are Premier and Grand Crus. The vines located in Echezeaux Grand Cru, are facing east, at an altitude of 300 metres. The slope has a considerable proportion of sand and gravel and the average age of the vines is 35-40 years. All these bring freshness and sophistication in the wine. Starting with the 2018 vintage, all the wines are certified "organic wine" label.

Manual harvest. Fermentation for 18-21 days in temperature-controlled conical oak vats. Aging in 100% oak barrels (40%-50% new) for 16-18 months.

Strawberries, slate, tea leaves, cherry stones and wild raspberries on the nose with just a whiff of cigar box. So elegant and silky on the palate, with a medium to full body and lovely creaminess to it. Fresh and long. From organically grown grapes.
