This wine is made from the first parcel of vines purchased by the family Carrille. They are located in the commune of Saint Christophe des Bardes. Today Philippe Carrille, fifth generation winemaker, is the manager of this vineyard. The vineyard is about 35 years old and is located on a beautifull hillside.
Château Robin des Moines is a typical wine of a traditional Saint-Emilion, which combines
structure, roundness and finesse and highlights the qualities of its terroir.

Vinification:
Manual harvest and select twice. Traditional vinification, long maceration, no egg settling, no filtration.
Ageing : Mainly in concrete vats, 20% in French oak barrels for 24 months.
Tasting notes:
A structured, powerful wine, with bigarreau red colour, with aromas of small red fruits, some notes of undergrowth, chalk and gunflint.
A beautiful attack in the mouth with great finesse. Slightly firm tannins that are refined when settling. A good aromatic persistence.
