The delineated, enclosed Dominikanerberg vineyard is one of Germany’s rare monopoly estates, owned exclusively by the von Nell-Breuning family. With its steep slopes and barren blue slate ground, Kaseler Dominikanerberg provides the perfect microclimatic contions for Riesling wines which are distinctive by their elegance and minerality, frequently exuding blackcurrant aromas. The grapes of this wine have grown on vines aging more than 50 years. “Trocken” means “Dry” in German.

2019 Riesling Old Vines dry is very elegant. It shows delicate herbal flavour and is carried by a long-lasting mineral structure. The wine is light but shows depth and strength at the same time. It will nicely age over the next 5-10 years.
