The Chuan Pure Malt Whisky is produced by Pernod Ricard at its RMB 1 billion distillery in Emeishan, Sichuan. Operational since 2021, the distillery marries Scottish distillation techniques with Chinese terroir, creating one of the country's most compelling whiskies.
Crafted from Chinese and European barley with pure local spring water, the spirit undergoes extended cool fermentation for a rich, rounded profile. Emeishan's humid climate accelerates cask interaction, lending remarkable depth and balance to the liquid.
Aged in bourbon, sherry, and Chinese Changbai Mountain oak casks, this expression delivers harmonious layers of vanilla, dried fruit, sandalwood, and aged mandarin peel with a distinctive oriental elegance.
