西班牙是歷史悠久的葡萄酒產區，近年不少精品葡萄品種如Mencia則愈來愈受注目，其中位於Galicia的Ribeira Sacra是冒升得最快兼極具潛質的產區，與Bierzo相比，Ribeira Sacra的Mencia更加優雅，花香，Dominio do Bibei酒莊的出品更可與布爾岡高級的Pinot Noir媲美。在入選《Decanter》50大名酒後，英國著名報章《衛報》剛為來自此區的Dominio do Bibei LALAMA作大力推薦，由85% Mencia、7% Garnacha、6% Brancellao 及 2% Mouraton組成。它的絲滑口感、紅果味道，加上優雅單寧，絕對值得一試。
