The Domaine de Chevalier, located in Leognan, the capital town of the Graves region, has a long history. It appears on the map of the geographer and engineer, Pierre de Belleyme drawn in 1763 under the name of Chibaley (meaning 'knight' in the Gascon language).
In 1983, the estate was purchased by the Bernard family, number 1 in France on the spirits market and a major negociant of premium Bordeaux wines. It has been run ever since by Olivier Bernard. In line with the history of Chevalier, he perpetuates that spirit of balance and the constant drive for perfection which, over the last 130 years, have been the hallmark of this outstanding wine. Today, from the secret garden protected by the vast, surrounding forest, the estate has become a remarkably open haven where visitors, keen to imbue themselves with the spirit of the Graves region, can benefit from its longstanding tradition of hospitality. The red Domaine de Chevalier belongs to the elite of the great classified growths of Bordeaux.

Bordeaux, France

White/Blanc (Still)
Grape Varieties:
85% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Semillon
Tasting Notes:
An absolutely textbook great white Graves made from 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon and aged nine months on its lees, this is a prodigious effort displaying notes of white flowers, currants, honeyed citrus, fig, and crushed rocks. The wine is very pure, with full body and high acidity, in a backward, almost tannic style. Give this wine at least 8-10 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 30 years.
