Nikka Whisky was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese whisky”. Nikka is one of the largest whisky producers in Japan and  worldwide known. It also owns Miyagkyo, Yoichi and Taketsuru.

Nikka Coffey Malt whisky is a unique malt-based whisky which is distilled in “Coffey” type column stills and matured in old casks. Nikka operates two Coffey stills, named after the inventor Aenas Coffey, within the Miyagikyo distillery. It is categorized as a grain whisky, and offers a surprisingly rich texture with deep oaky notes.

Nose:
Lively and citrusy. Lemon, pear, pepper, vanilla and coffee with milk.

Palate:
Creamy and gourmand. Citrus aromatics (clementine, orange), coffee, praline, rum baba, vanilla cream, plum and greengage.

Finish:
Prune, Mirabelle plum, liquorice and more fruit.
